Programs

The CUSO Mozambique Program activities remain focused on cooperant sending. More recently, CUSO has been also contributing to fundraising, and playing an increasingly important role to strengthen the local organizations by providing links to other organizations, in the North and the South, for mutual support.

Cuso's 2004-2009 Program in Mozambique focuses on the key result areas of: HIV/AIDS, Inclusive Governance, and Social and Economic Sustainability. This program is a responde to the development challenges that affect the country - such has poverty and the HIV/AIDS pandemic - and supports the promotion of new local and regional initiatives (PRPS and NEPAD). CUSO wants to increase its involvement on knowledge and experience sharing between the local partners and sister organizations in other African countries as well as in Canada, through the HIV/AIDS and Inclusive Governance multi-country projects.
